- Charlie Stamper of Ecton Road, landed a 38 1/4-inch long, 15 3/8-pound muskie Tuesday at about 11 a.m. in the Kentucky River at Boonesboro.

- The February meeting of the Daniel Boone Music Club, a member of the National and Kentucky Federation of Music Clubs, was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Ledford, Sunset Heights, with Mr. and Mrs. Idne Fraley as assisting hosts.

- The Clark County Service Unit of The Girl Scouts of America held its annual Juliet Lowe World Friendship Thinking Day on Feb. 19 at Hannah McClure School. Each Girl Scout and Brownie Troop selected a foreign country to represent at the program, and tables were decorated with items from the respective countries.

- A Spiritual Crusade will open Sunday at the Church of the Nazarene, Iron Works Road, and continue through Sunday, March 13. The Rev. Paul Blair of Wilmore will be the speaker.

- "Manna," a Baptist Student Union ministry group from Georgetown College will present a program of contemporary gospel and music at Central Baptist Church at 7 p.m. and a worship service Sunday.
