March 07, 2008

The five men charged with two gas station robberies pleaded not guilty Thursday afternoon in Clark Circuit Court.

The five, 19-year-old Jamie L. Mulligan, 18-year-old Keith Wayne Hall, 19-year-old Stephen W. Day II, 18-year-old Kenneth A. Johnson and a juvenile, were arrested in connection with the Dec. 2 armed robbery of the Marathon Station at 50 Hubbard Road and the Dec. 7 robbery of the Gasoline Alley at the intersection of Bypass and Rockwell roads in Winchester.

Only two were charged with actually committing the robberies: Hall for the Marathon and the juvenile for Gasoline Alley. The other three were charged with complicity in both robberies.

All five are free after posting bond. Circuit Judge William Jennings scheduled a trial for March 31 and a final pre-trial conference for March 19.
