Kentucky State Police are raffling off a 2008 Ford Mustang to support Trooper Island summer camp for Kentucky's disadvantaged children.
Tickets are $10 each and can be obtained at any KSP post or by contacting Trooper Chris Lanham, public affairs officer at the Richmond post, at (859) 623-2404.
The Mustang is a black convertible with black interior. The vehicle is equipped with a 4.6 liter SOHC 3 valve V-8 engine that produces 300 horsepower. The vehicle has a five-speed manual transmission, with 18-inch chrome wheels, GT appearance package, graphite leather seats and a rear spoiler.
The winning ticket will be drawn 3 p.m. Aug. 24 at the Kentucky State Fair, Louisville.
Proceeds will benefit Trooper Island Camp, a free summer camp for disadvantaged boys and girls ages 10-12.
KSP established Trooper Island in 1965 at Dale Hollow Lake near the Cumberland-Clinton county line. Each year about 700 campers participate in various athletic events such as archery, canoeing and swimming. The camp includes fishing and many other camping-related activities.
