Salvation Army accepting applications for emergency food and shelter programs

Boyle County will receive $18,816 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the county.

The federal funds were awarded under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program.

A local board will determine how the funds will be distributed among the emergency food and shelter programs run by local service agencies.

Boyle County has distributed Emergency Food and Shelter Funds previously with the following agencies: Families First, Family Services Association of Boyle County, American Red Cross, and The Salvation Army.

Public or private volunteer agencies interested in applying for funds may contact Dana Long at The Salvation Army, 519 S. 4th St., Danville, KY 40422 for an application. The deadline for applications is Wednesday.
