CLASSES

Exercise Class - 10:30-11 a.m. each Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Boyle County Senior Citizens Center, for ages 60 and up, $1 fee goes to the center. No class on holidays.

GED Classes - Held weekly in Stanford, Crab Orchard, McKinney, Highland and Waynesburg. Classes also available include adult basic education, computer, workplace skills, English as second language and others. For more information, call (606) 365-9665.

GED Classes - Danville Adult Education and Literacy Center, room 208, Danville High School, is offering individual instruction to learn to read, prepare for GED or improve writing, reading and math skills. Open five days a week. Call (859) 238-1303.

Mercer County Adult Education - Free GED preparation, workplace soft skill training, basic computer training and other instruction based on needs of participant. ORGANIZATIONS

AARP Chapter of Garrard County - 12:30 p.m. Tuesday Garrard County Senior Citizens Center, on Farra Drive. Optional meal, catered by the center, is responsibility of participant. Daryl Hodge, chaplain of Christian Care Center, will be the guest speaker. Members of the National AARP of those 50 and older interested in learning about the group are welcome, including residents of surrounding counties.

Boyle County Democratic Woman's Club - 7 p.m. Thursday at M&M restaurant inside Danville Bowlarama. Guest speaker will be Jackie Simms of Boyle County Senior Citizens Center. Simms will speak about issues affecting senior citizens. Optional dinner begins at 6 p.m.
