Ada McCauley, 82, of Tulsa, Okla., formerly of Danville, died Wednesday, March 12 in Oklahoma.
A native of Casey County, she was was born Aug. 18, 1925 to the late Thomas Virgil and Pearl Clarkston Hill. She was retired from Philips Lighting (Corning) in Danville and was a member of First Baptist Church of Danville.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ervin, James, and Jesse Hill.
Survivors include one son, Joseph (Gail) McCauley, Jr. of Annadale, Va.; one daughter, Gwynn (Rick) Wallace of Tulsa, Okla.; three brothers, Virgil (Louise) Hill of Danville, Crit (JoAnn) Hill of Parksville, and Herman (Nancy) Hill of Stanford; two sisters, Rosie (Bobby) Catlon of Harrodsburg and Essie Turpin of Greenwood, Ind.; three grandchildren, Joey and Brandon McCauley and Monica (Denver) Sumner; two great grandchildren, Garrett and Grayson Sumner; and a special niece and her family, Jennie (Jerry) and Bryan Leathers.
A private service will be held Friday, March 21 at 2 p.m. at W. L. Pruitt Funeral Home in Moreland with Dr. J. Timothy Mathis officiating. Burial will be in Hustonville Cemetery.
