Bette "Oma" Clinebell Reed, 80, of Hustonville, died Monday, March 3 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
A native of Portsmouth, Ohio, she was born Oct. 29, 1927 to the late Otha Custer and Muriel Louise Wilson Clinebell. She was a homemaker, former girl scout leader, and a member of the Temple Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, James Lloyd Reed, Sr.; two sons, Jim (Debbie) Reed of Hustonville and Tony (Brenda) Reed of Columbus, Ohio; four daughters, Jamie (Paul) Reed Robbins of Stanford, Liz Reed Burton of Hustonville, Junette (David) Reed Whitaker of Lancaster, Ohio, and Chanelsa Reed Mason of Tampa, Fla.; one brother, John V. Clinebell of Russellville, Ark.; a half sister, Louise Everett of Tampa, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were March 8 at Fox Funeral Home with Bro. Kelley Stringer officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were James L. Reed Jr., Tony Reed, Paul Robbins, Jimbo Miller, Jeremy Miller, Jesse Ballanger, Billy Dilly, and Fred Kiger. Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren, Jaclyn Ballanger, Jean Dilly, Jamie Kiger, Story Robbins Stringer, Ashley Young, Raven Reed, Tuesday Reed, C. J. Reed, Milo Reed, Jake Reed, Jared Reed, and Madison Reed.
