James (Jim) Peele, 67, of Brodhead, died Sunday, March 23 at his home.
A native of Norfolk, Va., he was born March 16, 1941 to Thelma Estelle Fentress Neal and the late Nicholas Wilkinson Peele.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Jean Peele; and brothers, Keith Neal and Michael Snipes.
Other survivors include his wife, Geraldine Peele of Brodhead; four daughters, Teresa Spurgeon of Waynesburg, Susan Wiss of Charlotte, N.C., Tammy Harrison of Brodhead, and Tina Peele of Stanford; two sisters, Jean Beach of Stanford and Mary Ann Davis of Virginia Beach, Va.; one brother, James Clarence Snipes of Greensborough, N.C.; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; three step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be today (March 27) at 2 p.m. at the McKnight Funeral Home in Crab Orchard with Bro. Donald Garland officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Church of Christ Cemetery.
