Edna Mae Long Sutton, 91

Edna Mae Long Sutton, 91, of Hamilton Avenue, Lancaster, died Monday, March 24 at her residence.

A native of Garrard County, she was born June 28, 1916 to the late Ott and Eula Prewitt Long. She was the oldest member at New Antioch Christian Church and the widow of Oneal Sutton.

She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Donald; three brothers, Leo, Oneal, and Cecil Long; and two sisters, Reba Hall and Ruth Surber.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald (Connie) Sutton and Dwain (Connie) Sutton, both of Lancaster; one daughter, Winifred Jeanetta (Virgil) Hall of Lancaster; one brother, Bobby (Shelby) Long of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Francis Hayden of Harrodsburg and Dora (Boone) Wells of Lexington; eight grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 28 at Ramsey Funeral Home in Lancaster with Rev. Val McCord officiating. Burial will follow in the Lancaster Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Wayne and Mike Sutton, Roger Hall, Ben Thomas, Steve Walton, and Brian Tuggle; Grandchildren and great grandchildren will serve as honorary bearers.

Visitation will be tonight (March 27) from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Ramsey Funeral Home.
