Lula Mae Howard, 76, of Pine Grove Road, Crab Orchard, formerly of Perryville, died Sunday, March 30.
A native of Crab Orchard, she was born March 28, 1932 to the late Willie J. and Myrtle Hinds Adams. She was owner of the former H & H Produce in Perryville and Family Cuts and More in Stanford, a co-owner of Circle H. Farms in Crab Orchard, former employee of Palm Beach Company, worked private duty care for many years, was a member of the Pine Grove Church of Christ, and the widow of Joe Edward Howard. She also enjoyed sewing and her flowers.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Billy Mack Adams; a sister, Betty Adams; and two sons, Ricky L. Howard and Kelly "Ray" Howard.
Survivors include daughters, Dollie Moore of Stanford and Brenda (Frank) Hoeck of Crab Orchard; one son, Edward Howard, Jr. of Perryville; a sister, Bert Cahill of Sarasota, Fla.; brothers, Earl (Joan) Adams of Frankfort, Jimmy Adams and Clifton (Cheryl) Adams, both of Crab Orchard, Kenneth (LaFonda) Adams of Liberty, and Bobby Adams of Ohio; eight grandchildren, Ann (Darrell) Padgett of Gravel Switch, Donna (Robert) Martin, Kelly Howard, Steven Hoeck, Shannon (April) Howard, and Cyrstal (Richard) Elliot, all of Crab Orchard, and Bobby Joe (Melissa) Howard and John Travis (Trina) Howard, both of Harrodsburg; 15 great grandchildren; and a host of cousins and friends.
