George Thomas "Bud" Adams, 93

George Thomas "Bud" Adams, 93, of Crab Orchard, died Friday, March 28 at the Rockcastle County Hospital.

A native of Lincoln County, he was born May 21, 1914 to the late Charlie and Carrie Moore Adams. He was a World War II Army veteran.

He was also preceded in death by two sons, Kenny and George Arthur Adams; four sisters, Josephine Kendall, Mary Brown, Mattie Magee, and Alberta Noeth; and three brothers, Peck, Joe and Carlton Adams.

Survivors include three daughters, Georgia Gilbert of Hendersonville, N.C., Connie French of Crab Orchard, and Clydia Akins of Lawrenceburg; one son, Phillip "Buddy" Adams of Crab Orchard; a sister, Betty Fields of Crab Orchard; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services were March 31 at the McKnight Funeral Home in Crab Orchard with Clydia Akins officiating. Burial was in Crab Orchard Cemetery with military rites by Caswell Saufley Post #18 of the American Legion.
