Glen Holland: Nov. 22, 1945 - April 15, 2008

"Papa" Glen Boyce Holland, 62, died Tuesday April 15. Glen was born Nov. 22, 1945 in Owingsville to the late Nesbit and Effie Mae Mullins Holland. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran. He was a retired carpet layer for Holland Floor Covering.

He is survived by and was a loving Papa to Jeremy and Chasity Holland, Tom T. Hager, of Nicholasville, several other special ones, a daughter, Jennifer and husband Tom Hager Holland, of Nicholasville, brothers, Junior and wife Phyliss Holland of Ohio, Harold and wife Maudie Holland, Charles and wife Alice Holland of Lexington, sisters, Barbara Mclean, Roma and husband Mike Coyle of Ohio, Lillian Barnes of Lexington, Boyce Mclean of North Carolina and other family members. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Roger Holland and a sister, Faye Holland.

Services will be 1:30 p.m., Friday, April 18, at Betts & West Funeral Home with Joshua Holland officiating and burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at the funeral home. Bearers will be Troy Hager, David Cobb, Chris Neal, Chris Farmer, B.J. Gillem, Earl Jordan, Dave Boggs, Chuck Johnson, Dean Smith, Steve Weisbrodt and Kinley McIntosh.
