GRC Tennis roars past Estill

The George Rogers Clark tennis teams won a pair of matches on Thursday against Estill County. Both teams won by a 9-0 margin.

In girls' action, Kelsey Palmer (6-1), Ginny Rush (6-0), Caitlyn Easterling (6-3), Molly Steele (6-1), Jodi Chamberlain (6-0) and Alex Pate (6-0) were each victorious.

In doubles, Hannah Shear and Sarah Miller (6-1), Brennan English and Taylor Kindred (6-0) and Alshia Powell and Chandler Thomas (6-0) each won.

The doubles duo of Katie Hampton and Makenzie Waltermire (6-4), Waltermire and Holly Whiteman (6-1) each won, while Shelbi Denham and Katie Ledford (2-6) lost in exhibition play.

On the boys' side, Chase Kindred (6-1), Landon Sallee (6-0), Tyler Montgomery (6-3), Jacob Walson (6-0), Justin Penticuff (6-1) and Logan Martin (6-0) won in singles.

In doubles play, Austin Norton and Taylor Graham (6-2), Chad Griffith and Walson (6-0) and Matt Willian and Blake Browning (6-3) each won.

In an exhibition match, Landon Sallee and Griffith won by a 6-0 score.
