Local agriculture brief

Whitney Turner, a junior equine science major at Morehead State University, recently qualified for the National Intercollegiate Horse Show, which will be in Los Angeles May 8 through 10. Turner, a member of the Morehead State Equestrian Team, qualified at the Western Semi-Finals hosted by Saint Andrew's Presbyterian College in Laurinburg, N.C., on March 29 to 30. Turner has been showing horses since she was five and looks forward to a career in the horse industry. She is the daughter of John and Donna Turner of Clark County. She is the granddaughter of Keville and Peggy Sue Turner of Saluda, N.C., and the late Lindbergh and Florence Pasley.
