PARKS BOARD TODAY

The Winchester-Clark County Parks and Recreation Board will meet at 5:30 p.m. today at the College Park Gym.

HOUSING AUTHORITY

The Winchester Housing Authority will hold its regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. today at the offices in Sequoia Village, on East Washington Street.

CORRECTION

A photo caption published Friday of the Leadership Winchester graduating class of 2008 left out the names of Carolyn Burtner and Eric Baugher, two members shown in the picture.

FISCAL COURT TO MEET

The Clark County Fiscal Court is scheduled to meet in regular session at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday to give first reading to the 2008-09 fiscal year budget and hear a presentation from Mayor Ed Burtner on the indoor pool project at College Park Gym.

OLD PINE GROVE

HOMEMAKERS

The Old Pine Grove Homemakers will meet at J.K.'s Restaurant at 11 a.m. Wednesday.

ABSENTEE VOTING

Any voter needing to vote absentee due to being out of the county on Election Day, May 20, should vote at the Clark County Clerk's Office by May 19.

The office's hours will be 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 17.

CLARK COUNTY KIWANIS

The Clark County Kiwanis Club will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Victorino's Italian Restaurant, 34 N. Main St.

Doug Flynn, a former Cincinatti Reds baseball player from Lexington, will be the speaker.

The meeting is open to all interested persons.

PINK RIBBON PARTNERS

The Pink Ribbon Partners will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at Gaunce's on the Bypass.

CITY BLOOD DRIVE

The City of Winchester will sponsor a blood drive on Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the commission chambers of City Hall.

CONKWRIGHT SBDM

Conkwright Middle School will be having a special called site-based decision-making meeting at 4 p.m. today in the school library.
