GEORGETOWN - Chase Kindred, Landon Sallee and the doubles duo of Austin Norton and Taylor Graham advanced to the quarterfinals of the 10th Region Tennis Tournament Monday.
Kindred defeated Campbell County's top player 6-2 and 6-1 in the second round. Kindred received a first-round bye.
Sallee won in the first round, defeating Newport Central Catholic (6-1, 6-0) and Campbell County by the score of 6-1 and 6-4.
Norton and Graham came away with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Campbell County.
The doubles team of Jacob Walson and Chris Griffith won in the first round over Bellevue (6-0, 6-2), but lost in the second round to a doubles team from Montgomery County 3-6 and 3-6.
The girls' portion of the tournament began today.
