Town and Country met April 8

Town and Country Homemakers had their April meeting Tuesday, April 8 at the Clark County Extension Office. A potluck dinner was furnished and enjoyed by Betty Bonar, Joan Estes, Connie Harms, Sandy Hiles, Denise Knoeble, Shirley Nickell, Mary Lou Shearer, Sue Staton, Billye Jean Stigall, and Deanna Wright. President Deanna Wright called the meeting to order. The Annual Meeting of Clark County Extension Homemakers scheduled for April 29 was discussed. The club decided to make a hat to display on a table at the dinner and give away as a door prize. Several members made their reservations to attend.

Betty Bonar gave the treasurer's report.

The club will decorate the showcase in the Extension Office building for the month of May. Members will meet and bring items to decorate the case on May 1.

Baby bottles for the AAA Pregnancy Help Center were turned in, and Joan Estes donated six baby blankets to the Center.

Joan Estes demonstrated Stanley Cleaning products in conjunction with spring cleaning.

The Leader Lesson for April was "Beyond Fish Sticks." Handouts were distributed to each member by Sue Staton.

The club discussed having meetings and outings during the summer to keep members active and to recruit new members.

The next club meeting was May 13 at the Extension Office.
