To the editor,
I'm just writing about the article I read concerning the traffic light on Main and High streets.
There are hundreds of people who live off of High Street and that intersection is the only way we have of getting out of our neighborhood.
So it takes all of us at least 10 minutes to get out every time we try to leave our homes.
There is also a church and a few businesses off of this street. We do not have an option to go out any other way.
It is also a lot safer for the school buses to exit High Street with the signal light.
So why don't people who are complaining try what we go through on a daily basis and let's see if you are so willing for the light to be stopped.
If this is all the people in Nicholasville have to complain about, consider yourself lucky.
If I complained about all the other traffic lights and stop signs in this town do you think we could get them all pulled?
Come on people get over it.
Another way we could fix the problem is to give the people in this area a road that we could exit from so we have another way out.
