Charles "Hub" Robert Hubbard, 86

Charles "Hub" Robert Hubbard, 86, of Kings Mountain, died Sunday, May 25 at his residence.

A native of Pulaski County, he was born Thursday, May 25, 1922 to the late Henry Monterville and Dollie May Hicks Hubbard. He was a farmer, truck driver, school bus driver, mail carrier, magistrate for Lincoln County from 1993 to 1998, Kentucky Colonel, member of the American Legion, VFW, and DAV, World War II veteran, and trustee of Pleasant Point Baptist Church.

He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Charles Duane Hubbard; three brothers, William "Buddy", Colonel "Boss" and David "D" Hubbard; and two sisters Ann Estes and Alice Rogers.

Survivors include his wife Lola Jane Jenkins Hubbard; two sons William (Jane) Hubbard and Lanny (Sandy) Hubbard both of Waynesburg; two daughters, Deanna (Jimmy) Floyd of Casey County and Rita (John) Hazlett of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister, Dolly "Doodle" Pullum of Dayton, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren.

Funeral services were May 28 at Pleasant Point Baptist Church with Revs. James Kelley and Ed Bray officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Point Cemetery with military rites by Caswell Saufley Post #18 of the American Legion.

Active pallbearers were his grandsons and honorary pallbearers were his granddaughters.

Memorial are preferred to Pleasant Point Cemetery Fund, 380 Ky. Hwy. 1778, Kings Mountain, KY 40442.

Arrangements were entrusted to Barnett and Demrow Funeral Home in Waynesburg.
