CARNIVAL IS COMING

A carnival, Jules and Beck Shows, will be June 11-15 at Peddler's Mall, nightly from 5 to 10:30 on weekdays, and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 10:30 p.m.

There is no admission, but there will be prices for ride tickets, or visitors can by pay-one-price arm bands.

NAMI TO MEET

NAMI Winchester, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, will hold support groups for people effected by mental illness and their families at 7 p.m. at the Victory Heights Center for Achievement, 150 Maryland Ave. Meetings are free and open to the public. CLARK COUNTY KIWANIS

The Clark County Kiwanis Club will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Victorino's Italian Restaurant, 34 N. Main St. Deborah Wollum, Winchester postmistress, will be the speaker.

CITY COMMISSION TO MEET TUESDAY

The Winchester Board of Commissioners will hold a special-called work session at 4 p.m. Tuesday followed by the commission's regular meeting at 5:30 p.m.

During the regular meeting, the commission is set to vote on a noise ordinance for the city. Commissioners will also meet in special session at 8:30 a.m. Thursday and Friday to work on the fiscal year 2008-09 budget.

CLASS OF '48 REUNION

The Class of 1948 at Clark County High School will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sid's in Colby Station, at the Bypass and Colby Road. Plans for the 60th reunion will be discussed.

PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING TUESDAY

The Winchester-Clark County Planning Commission will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. the Clark County Courthouse.

Agenda items include plats and plans, and public hearings for parking space additions to Clark Regional Medical Center and a Verizon Wireless telecommunications tower.

SCHOOL BOARD SPECIAL MEETING

The Clark County Board of Education will have a special meeting on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. to discuss a request for additional funding for girls softball and conduct a training session. A closed session to discuss legal issues is also on the agenda.

BLOOD DRIVE JUNE 4 AT PALMER ENGINEERING

There will be a blood drive on Wednesday at Palmer Engineering from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you are interested in making a donation, please call 744-1218 to schedule an appointment.
