Bro. Aaron's message on Sunday was there is "Joy in Contentment," and he took his text from Philippians 4:10-23. He said, "Contentment is learned, not learned." Bro. Aaron said that even in all his perils, Paul was content in the Lord because he knew "God will meet all your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus."
Our Sunday evening worship service was centered around the mission trip to Mexico. The last week of May, twelve people flew to Naco, Mexico to work for one week with an orphanage there. Their main project for this trip was to build a concrete wall around the orphanage that houses 16 children who live there year round. While there they also worked with a Vacation Bible School and a church about 25 miles south of Naco. Those who went on the trip are as follows: Doug, Lisa and Caleb Ruckel, Kathy Estes, Kayla Adington, Bro. Aaron, Bro. Andy, Judy Jacobs, Judy Whitaker, Mike Bastin, Julia Sullivan, and Charlotte Abel. All reported a very good, humbling, and rewarding trip, and a total of five young men were saved. How awesome is that!!!
