State Am: Martin makes cut

Matthew Martin made the cut.

The former George Rogers Clark and current Transylvania golfer fired a 77 in the second round of the AT&T Kentucky State Amateur golf tournament and is part of the final round.

Martin, who had an 80 in the opening round, was scheduled to tee off at 10:09 this morning at the Country Club of Paducah.

Martin is paired with Aaron Anderson (Elizabethtown) and Zach Schrodt of Louisville.

Going into the final round, Tyler Sharpe and Dan Fuqua are tied for the lead. The two golfers tallied a 140 after the first two rounds and hold a three-stroke lead going into the last round.
