PADUCAH - Kentucky State Amateur Championship title, Philip Hendrickson of Danville struggled early and posted a 4-over-par 76. He finished tied for 13th at 7 over.
With rounds of 74-73 at the Country Club of Paducah, he trailed tournament leaders Ben Fuqua of Danville and Tyler Sharpe of Greensburg by seven strokes going into the final day.
A bogey at the par-5 first hole and double-bogey at the par-3 second hole put him even farther behind.
After his round, while watching Fuqua finish the tournament, he said he was looking forward to taking a few weeks off from tournament golf.
