DILLARD CLIFF CLARK

Dillard Cliff Clark, 90, of Winchester, passed away on June 15, 2008 at the Pine Meadows Health Care facility in Lexington.

He was a retired steel worker with more than 30 years of service to Blaw Knox Steel Mill in Pittsburgh, Pa., and a devoted member of Broadway Baptist Church in Winchester. He was the son of the late Cliff and Zetta Clark.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Clark, and three of his seven children, Zetta Mae Berry, Dillard C. Clark Jr. and Flora Jean Clark. He was also preceded in death by a stepbrother, Sonny Brown of Cincinnati, Ohio, and a loving second wife, Helen Clark.

He leaves to cherish his memory three sons, Edwin (Gail) Clark of Versailles, Edward (Christal) Clark of Detroit, Mich., and Ronnie Clark of Austin, Texas; and one daughter, Etta Louise Hayes of Astoria, Ore.

Survivors also include three stepchildren, Leslie Sanders of Colorado, Harold Sanders of Pittsburgh, and Sherita Sanders of Cincinnati.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, at Broadway Baptist Church. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the church.

MICHAEL BLAINE STRATTON

Michael Blaine Stratton, 54, of 502 Westwood Drive, died at 4:50 a.m. Monday at the Clark Regional Medical Center.

A native of Lyon County, he was the son of Georgia Scott Stratton of Winchester and the late Butler Stratton. Mr. Stratton was a former Fluor Daniel International iron worker and pipe fitter, and he attended the Ark of Mercy Church of God.

Additional survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Michael Shawn and Kristin Stratton of Paint Lick; two daughters, Ashley Elizabeth and Alexandria Shay Stratton, both of Winchester; three grandsons, Mason and Evan Stratton of Paint Lick and Ashton Curtis of Winchester; his former wife, Elizabeth Bond Stratton of Winchester; one brother, Richard Stratton of Tacoma, Wash., and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Scobee Funeral Home by the Rev. Lee Cruse. Burial will be in the Clarmont Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

ELEANOR LANE

Eleanor Lane, 83, of 35 Mockingbird Valley Road, wife of Stanley Lane, passed away at 11:45 p.m. Saturday June 14, 2008 at the Clark Regional Medical Center.

A native of Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Thyra Fischer.

She was a former owner of the Bridges and Lane Hardware store, was retired from the Grant Rose Law Firm, and was a member of First Christian Church.

Additional survivors include two daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda L. and Ken Minzenberger of Marietta, Ga., and Liz and David E. Borden of Winchester; four grandchildren and two granddaughters-in-law, David E. and Lisa Borden Jr. of Crestwood, Daniel E. and Krysta Borden of Crestwood, Dana Minzenberger of Marietta, Ga. and Stephanie Elizabeth Borden of Georgetown; and several nieces, nephew, and cousins.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, at Scobee Funeral Home by the Rev. Jeff Sames. Burial will be at Machpelah Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Costigan, David E. Borden, Bill Bridges, Ken Minzenberger, David E. Borden Jr., Daniel E. Borden, Bob Rose and William "Rocky" Lane.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time on Wednesday, June 18 at Scobee Funeral Home.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Rosemary Brooks Place, Hospice East, and First Christian Church Building Fund.
