Virginia White Stigall, 97

Virginia White Stigall, 97, of Louisville, died Thursday, June 12, at Jefferson Place.

A native of Crab Orchard, she was born April 7, 1911 to the late Robert C. and Catharine Horton White. She was a retired employee of the Old L and N Railroad, member of Audubon Park United Methodist Church, Wildwood Country Club, the Organ Club, and the National Association of Retired Railroad Employees, and the widow of Carroll Allen, J. W. Stevenson, and Clyde Stigall.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Nancy White Walters; brothers, John C. and James P. White; and a niece, Alice Leczo.

Survivors include a stepson, Jack Stevenson of Smyrna Ga.; four step grandchildren; three nieces, Nancy Wills of Florence, Roberta Godby of Louisville, and Linda Akel of Franklin, Tenn.; two nephews, James P. White, Jr. of Reno, Nev., and John White of Naples Fla.; a host of great nephews and nieces; and friends including Larry Ashley.

Funeral services were June 16 at Embry-Bosse Funeral Home in Louisville. Burial was in Resthaven Memorial Park.
