Veterans Affairs to be at armory

Window decorating contest planned

CRAB ORCHARD - The 33rd Annual Crab Orchard Fourth of July Homecoming Celebration set for July 5 will include a window decorating contest. Each business is asked to decorate its windows as it chooses in keeping with the theme "All Trails Lead To Crab Orchard." Winners will receive a floating plaque to display in the business for a year. Bible school starts today

MORELAND - Moreland First Baptist Church will have its vacation Bible school 6:30-8 p.m. tonight through Friday. Friday's Bible school will begin at 6 p.m.

Cornhole added to state games

LEXINGTON - The Get Healthy Kentucky Bluegrass State Games has added cornhole this year. The event will be July 19 at Woodland Park in Lexington. To sign up, visit www.bgsg.org.

Boyle County Fiscal Court -10 a.m. Tuesday in the Boyle County courthouse. Agenda includes the second reading of the budget, the Danville-Boyle Convention and Visitors Bureau financial statement, the Court of Justice lease agreement, April and May financial statements, the Nation Brothers agreement and a joint jail meeting update.

Lincoln County Cedar Creek Planning Commission - 7 p.m. July 1 at the Lincoln County Courthouse, second floor, 102 E. Main St., for a public hearing during its monthly meeting. The agenda includes property at 92 Carmel Drive, Hustonville, and existing commercial properties in Lincoln County.
