Stanford teen hurt in fight

June 24, 2008

Danville police say a fight early Sunday morning in the Arby's parking lot on Hustonville Road left a 17-year-old boy from Stanford with serious injuries.

"He had a broken jaw, and his orbital bone (around the eye) was broken and out of place," said Assistant Chief Tom Bustle.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for Rashad Buster, 19, of Harrodsburg, charging him with second-degree assault.

Police received a call about 3 a.m. Sunday from the 17-year-old who claimed he had been assaulted in the parking lot by someone he had been with throughout the night.

He gave the license number and description of the vehicle along with the names of two suspects.

Bustle said the individuals had been together during the evening and had come to Danville from Harrodsburg and an argument ensued. Bustle said the juvenile was badly injured and may require surgery.

Other juveniles at the scene witnessed the altercation, he said.
