Beulah Brent Hester, 86

Beulah Brent Hester, 86, of Stanford, died Monday, June 23 at the Golden LivingCenter in Stanford.

A native of Danville, she was born Aug. 2, 1921 to the late J. Frank and Sadie Alexander Brent. She was a 1939 graduate of Stanford High School, former employee of the Goodall and Angel Manufacturing in Stanford, worked at Hart Insurance until her retirement, was a member of the former Harris Memorial United Methodist Church now New Beginnings United Methodist Church where she served as treasurer for many years, and was the widow of Carl Hester.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Carroll Lynn Brent and Howard Brent; and a sister, Mattie Mae Gay.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald Gene (Justeen) Hester and Charles Lee (Charley) Hester both of Stanford; a sister, Jessie Brent Wirth of Louisville; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Goodwin and Vivian Sims of Stanford; two grandchildren, Jamie Lee (Terry) Weaver of Lancaster and Sherry (Jeff) Glasscock of Perryville; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were June 25 at Fox Funeral Home in Stanford with Bro. Jeremy James officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were David and Jim Cornelius, Jim Baird, Walter Hester, and Jimmy and John Hester. Honorary pallbearers were Susanna Wesley Sunday School Class at New Beginnings United Methodist Church.
