Reba Ellison Short, 84, of Stanford, died Tuesday, June 24 at Sun City Hospice in Ruskin, Fla.
A native of Corbin, she was born Nov. 18, 1923 to the late Henry and Ollie Cupp Ellison. She was a homemaker, a member of Harrodsburg Church of God, and the widow of Roy Short.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald W. Short of Stanford and Paul Roy Short of Tampa, Fla.; a daughter, Kathleen Andrews of Addison, Ala.; four brothers, Herman, Bobby, Darrell and Glen Ellison; nine sisters, Hester Leise, Opal Leise, Estellene Noe, Lela Durham, Zella Lawson, Verlon Ramsey, Jean Fuson, Ruby Brock, and Sandra Ellison; 21 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 29 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 30 at 2 p.m. at the Spurlin Funeral Home with Rev. Gordon Lawson officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
