Gordon S. Coleman, 66

Gordon S. Coleman, 66, of Stanford, died Friday, June 20, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.

A native of Lincoln County, he was born Tuesday, May 19, 1942 to the late Sam and Ethel Conatser Coleman. He was a farmer and a logger.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Coleman; and two sisters, Brenda and Faye Griffin.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Hill Coleman of Stanford; four sons, James Eugene Coleman of Irvin, Gordon Junior Coleman of Hustonville, and Frankie Lewis Coleman and Jason Daniel Coleman, both of Stanford; one daughter, Ruth Ann (Dale) Owens of Hustonville; four brothers, Clyde Coleman of Waynesburg, Jerry and Mark Coleman, both of McKinney, and John Coleman of Stanford; three sisters, Becky Mounce and Connie Payton, both of Stanford, and Christine Coleman of McKinney; and one grandson, Derrick Coleman.

Funeral services were June 23 at Fox Funeral Home in Stanford with Bro. Roger Stevens officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Elroy Pullum, Hobert Sweet, Bronson Richardson, Sonny Spoonamore, Harold Snow, and David Savage.
