Justin Bell1977-2008

JUNCTION CITY - Barry Justin Bell, 30, of Junction City died Friday, June 27.

Born Oct. 27, 1977, in Boyle County, he was the son of Barry Bell of Danville and Tish Smallwood of Junction City. He was a member of Junction City First Christian Church and a Marine.

He is survived by his wife, Ashley Bell; maternal grandparents, Daniel and Paula Smallwood of Junction City; three brothers, Jacob Bell of Danville, and Levi and Blue Smallwood, both of Junction City; and a sister, Lindsay Bell of Danville.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ben and Roberta Bell.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home in Moreland by Brothers Gary Douglas and Ken Ward, with burial in Junction City Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jacob Bell, Mikie Sinkhorn, Jeremy Shepherd, Trip Wilson, Donnie Jones, Robert Lear, Nicholas Wilburn and Levi Smallwood.

Georgia "Hazel" Craig1922-2008

Georgia "Hazel" Craig, 86, was united with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 26.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Robert L. Craig; her father and mother, John Wesley and Etta Mae Cecil; and a sister, Beulah Fitzpatrick.

Hazel was the bookkeeper at the old Danville Theatre, where she met her husband, Robert, who was stationed a short time at Centre College during World War II. They married after his return from England and moved to Knoxville, Tenn., where she became a bookkeeper at Millers Department Store and Robert attended the University of Tennessee. They returned to Danville where she was a full-time wife, mother and housekeeper.

Hazel was very talented in all arts, crafts and decorating, and had a green thumb for growing things. She was an avid reader and enjoyed music. She attended the First Baptist Church all her life.

Hazel is survived by a daughter, Sheila Craig Sheehan; a son, Gary (Linda) Craig; five grandchildren, Craig (Kate) Greer, Michael (Brooke) Sheehan, Aaron Sheehan, Rachel Craig and Anna Craig; three great-grandchildren, Natalie Sheehan, Allison Sheehan and Nicholas Greer; and a nephew, Harvey Fitzpatrick.

Special acknowledgments to caretakers Julialice and Tom Carter; Margaret Horton and Mary Ann Runyon at McDowell Home Health Services; Hospice; and Dr. D. Moran.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Stith Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve James and music by Kerry Jones. Visitation is 1-4 p.m. today at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to The Alzheimer's Foundation.

Sue Ann Underwood Wade1943-2008

Sue Ann Underwood Wade, 64, died Thursday, June 26, at University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. She was the wife of Jerry E. Wade.

Born Sept. 14, 1943, in Garrard County, she was a daughter of the late Lilburn and Myrtie Ammonds Goins Underwood. She was a homemaker and, for more than 20 years, a member of Indian Hills Christian Church and the Barnabus Sunday School class.

Other survivors include two sons, Michael E. (Lisa) Wade of Crab Orchard and Kevin (Cindy) Wade of Lancaster; a sister, Lucille (Dave) Gibson of Danville; a brother, Neal (Margaret) Underwood of Danville; four grandchildren, Micah D. (Michelle) Wade, Kara D. Wade, Luke K. Wade and Jerrid O. Wade; and a great-grandson, Brycen E. Wade.

She was predeceased by a sister, Betty Joyce Gipson; and a brother, James Allen Underwood.

The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Indian Hills Christian Church with the Rev. Lance Ladd and Brother Odis Clark. Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Barry Gipson, Brian Gipson, Steve Underwood, David W. Gibson, James Underwood, Bradley Underwood, Terry Cook and Donald Dunaway.

Visitation is after 4 p.m. today at Indian Hills Christian Church. Memorial donations are suggested to the Living Stones of Indian Hills Christian Church.

Shirley Jean Broughton Dailey1936-2008

LANCASTER - Shirley Jean Broughton Dailey, 71, of Lancaster died Thursday at her residence.

Survivors include one son, Bobby Gene Dailey Jr. of Lancaster; two daughters, Joyce Pleasants of Lancaster and Sharon (Tevis) Graham of Bryantsville; two sisters, Florence McQueary of Lancaster and Mary Begley of Springfield, Va.; two grandchildren, Jessica Graham and Chris Dailey; and a great-granddaughter, Abigail Marie Isaacs.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Ramsey Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery.

Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mary Gay Steele1955-2008

LANCASTER - Mary Gay Steele, 52, of Lancaster passed away June 23 at the Christian Care Center of Lancaster.
