Paul Michael "Scooter" Dowdy Jr., 33, of Maple Grove Drive, passed away Thursday June 26 at Cardinal Hill Specialty Hospital in Ft. Thomas, Ky. He was a native of Fort Worth, Texas and a technician with Adelphia Cable Company.
He is survived by his father Paul M. Dowdy Sr. of Nicholasville, his mother Carol and husband W.A. "Buck" Prewitt of Newby, one brother Chris and wife Brooke Dowdy of Evansville, Ind., paternal grandmother Frances Mary Dowdy of Shelby Township, Mich., maternal grandmother Betty Jean Irwin of Roseville, Mich., two step-brothers, Larry and wife Shawneta Prewitt, David and wife Jamie Prewitt, two step-sisters, Sharlene and husband David Evans and Karen and husband Jay Gullette all of Richmond, one nephew Baylor Dowdy, one step-nephew Brayden Gray, one step-niece Arabella Gray and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his dog Babe.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Jones Coe Dowdy, maternal grandfather Robert Carlton Irwin, and two nephews, Hunter Dowdy and Logan Dowdy.
