Volunteer resigns from hospital auxiliary

The monthly executive meeting of the Clark Regional Medical Center Auxiliary was held on Monday, June 9, at CRMC. Those present were: Julie Boggs, Linda Crowe, Mary George DeVary, Faye Durbin, Sharon Goble, Phyllis Hanks, Audrey King, Barry Lindeman, Peggy McIntosh, Martha Shearer and Edna Taulbee.

Carolyn Wiggins, secretary, distributed and read the minutes from the May 12 executive and general meetings. Martha Shearer, treasurer, reported May's financial results and reminded all volunteers who had not paid dues to do so. Julia Boggs, gift shop chair, presented an update on the gift shop and noted that volunteers are still needed to cover nights, Saturdays and Sundays. Timekeeper Audrey King reported that 1,132.5 hours were worked in May by 59 volunteers and 5,506.5 year-to-date hours had been recorded.

Membership services co-chair Faye Durbin announced that a new volunteer, John Flickinger, would be commencing in June. She has received additional applications and those will be discussed and a status update presented at the August meeting. A list of current auxiliary members will be posted in the sign-in room.

Ways and means co-chair Peggy McIntosh discussed the Auxiliary's booth at Pioneer Festival. Several opportunities were identified and will befinalized at the August Auxiliary meeting.

Barry Lindeman informed the committee that new wheelchairs had been ordered.

It was announced that telephone chair Hazel May had resigned her position and will be relocating to Lexington in the near future. Linda Crowe will approach members to identify Hazel's replacement.

The death of Sydney Ewen, a former volunteer, was announced.

No meeting will be held in July. Beginning with the August meeting, executive and general meetings will occur monthly. The August meeting will be held on Monday, August 11.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
