The Lincoln County Library Board has unanimously voted to hire a construction manager to oversee construction of the new $3 million public library, said Etta Meek, library board president. "We want to avoid what happened with the hospital," said Ms. Meek, referring to Fort Logan Hospital, which was marked by construction delays. The library board meets today at 4:30 p.m. at the existing library to consider hiring one of two construction-management firms that have submitted proposals. The new library will be two stories with 16,000 square feet. Construction is planned to begin late August.
