Class of 1973 to have reunion

LANCASTER - The Garrard County High School class of 1973 is hosting a Weekend to Remember from Friday through Sunday. As part of its 35-year reunion, a picnic will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday at Logan-Hubble Memorial Park, shelter 4.

Members of the class of '73 invite all who were in school at GCHS (classes of 1970-1976) while they were there to come join them for the afternoon. Those attending will need to provide their own food and beverages. Guests are welcome.

Annual lake outing set

HARRODBURG - The 2008 Herrington Lake Conservation League will host its annual pig roast and live music Aug. 2 at Chimney Rock Marina, 250 Chimney Rock Road.

Pulled pork and hot dogs will be sold beginning at 4 p.m.

Live music by the Sofa Kings Deluxe authentic band will start at 7 p.m. Guests are asked to bring lawn chairs, blankets and coolers.

Crab Orchard salesman open

CRAB ORCHARD - The Crab Orchard Water Salesman is open and back in service. The salesman has been closed for city water tank repairs, which have been completed.

Stanford City Council - 6:30 p.m. today at City Hall for an executive session to discuss land acquisition.

Danville-Boyle County Recreation Commission - 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Rotary-Kroger shelter at Millennium Park. The agenda includes a treasure's report, maintenance department report and director's report.

City of Danville Park Committee - 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Rotary-Kroger shelter at Millennium Park.
