Lincoln County grand jury indicts eight

STANFORD - A Lincoln County grand jury returned indictments last week against eight people. They are listed below by name, age, address and charge. Bond information and grand jury witnesses also are provided.

All are scheduled for arraignment at 10 a.m. Aug. 8 in Lincoln Circuit Court.

* Michael Hounshell, 31, 110 Castle Rock Drive, Danville, possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia on Feb. 4. Bond was set at $20,000. Vehicle Enforcement Officer Shawn Hines testified before the grand jury.

* Ronald E. Caudill Jr., 19, Cody Todd Smith, 20, and Jesse Colton Abel, 18, all of 734 Rice Lane, Stanford, receiving stolen property, criminal mischief and tampering with evidence for allegedly having property belonging to Melvin Jones, damaging Jones' property and destroying evidence in March. Bond information was unavailable. Sheriff Curt Folger testified.

* Shawn M. Haight, 18, 332 Stanford Road, Crab Orchard, trafficking in marijuana and possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia on Jan. 12. Bond was set at $20,000. Folger testified.

* Bryan Stamper, 18, 519 Cedar St., Crab Orchard, receiving stolen property and tampering with evidence for allegedly having property belong to Julie Knicely and destroying evidence in March. Bond was set at $15,000. Folger testified.

* Heather Coulter, 27, Stag Street, Harrodsburg, possession of a forged $400 check drawn on Farmers National Bank in Stanford on May 12. Bond was set at $5,000. State Trooper Mike Ashley testified.

* Tahnee Nicole McAninch, 27, 1050 Jim Weaver Road, Waynesburg, receiving stolen property for allegedly having items belonging to Machinery Link Inc. on Jan. 1. Bond was set at $15,000. Hines testified.
