TODAY

- Transition Camp for incoming sixth- graders, Clark Middle School, 8:30 a.m. to noon. Breakfast and a sack lunch will be served. Parents can pick up their children at noon.

THURSDAY, JULY 31

- AARP meeting, 6 p.m. at the Generations Center, 32 Meadow St. Potluck supper followed by musical entertainment by Mike Butler and Jay Brandenburg. Members are asked to bring school supplies for children.

FRIDAY, AUG. 1

- There will be an old-fashioned ice cream social at the Generations Center, 32 Meadow St., with homemade cake and ice cream. The event begins at 12 p.m. and lasts until 3 p.m. Tickets are $3 and all proceeds go to benefit generations senior programs. For more information, call 744-3235.

- Southern gospel concert, by Praise Inc.. at the People Helping People Family Development Center, 19 Wainscott Ave., in the banquet hall at 7 p.m. There will be no admittance fee, but a love offering will be collected.

- The Winchester Rotary Club will meet at 12 p.m. at the Winchester Country Club on Boone Avenue. Charles Hay, a retired archivist for Eastern Kentucky University, will speak on numismatics.

SATURDAY, AUG. 2

- Trapp School reunion, 2 p.m. at the school. Dinner will be served at 5 p.m. and there will be entertainment. Cost is $12.50 per person and attendees must RSVP to Joyce Rogers at 771-1056.

- The Salvation Army will hold a benefit concert at 7 p.m. at George Rogers Clark High School featuring Blend, an a capella doo wop group. Tickets are $8.

- Rockwell Winchester will hold a reunion at the Clark County Fish and Game Club, 1255 Waterworks Road, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
