While lunching on the porch at Hall's Restaurant, the Alpha Alpha Chapter held their first meeting of the 2008-2009 year on July 31.

Members prepared notes of encouragement and tucked a Wal-Mart gift card into each note. Each of the 40 new teachers in Clark County will receive a note.
President Ruth Ann Moore presided over the business meeting. She thanked each member for participating in welcoming the new teachers to Clark County. She outlined the monthly topics and projects for the coming year.
Nancy Hanna and Carol Ann Oliver gave reports. Members were reminded that the theme for the year is " Nurturing, Giving and Supporting."
