HARRODSBURG - A Mercer County grand jury recently indicted Billy McClure, 27, of 673 Beaumont Ave., on a reckless homicide charge in the July 16 death of his infant son.
The baby, Carl Eugene McClure, who was 3 weeks old, apparently suffocated while sleeping in bed with Billy McClure and his wife, Tiffany Finley McClure.
The indictment alleges that Billy McClure recklessly caused the death of his son by compression asphyxia.
McClure's bond was set at $5,000. Harrodsburg police Detective Garry Bradshaw testified before the grand jury.
