Nathan King, 91

Nathan King, 91, of Cowden Court, passed, Lancaster, died Sunday, Sept. 7 at the Christian Care Center in Lancaster.

A native of Madison County, he was born June 10, 1917 to the late Robert and Dochie Singer King. He was a farmer, did many different jobs with construction and building, was a member of Bethel Christian Church, and the widower of Marie Bolton King.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Albert and Billie King; and two sisters, Ruby Bailey and Molly B. Weaver.

Survivors include three sons, Harold (Lonnie) King, Billy (Janet) King, and Bobby (Edwina) King all of Lancaster; two brothers, Robert King, Jr. and James King both of Richmond; one sister, Beulah Short of Richmond; seven grandchildren, Peggy (Ronnie) Sparks, Donna (Dale) Land, Kathy (Andy) Floyd, Scott King, Natalie (Jason) Sutton, Rickie (Chris) Miller, and Lynn (David) Caswell; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today (Sept. 11) at Ramsey Funeral Home in Lancaster with Revs. Dale Ballinger and Daryl Hodge officiating the service. Burial will follow in Lancaster Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Scott King, Ronnie and Josh Sparks, Andy Floyd, Jason Sutton, and Dale Land. Honorary pallbearers will be the grandchildren.
