The George Rogers Clark High School girls soccer team came away with a 1-1 tie against Bourbon County Tuesday night at the Cardinal Soccer Complex.

Leta Hahn scored Clark's lone goal on an assist from teammate Katie Sharp in the 26th minute of the first half.

"It was a hard, physical game played at a good pace," Clark coach Bill Kirk said.

Clark gave up an early score to the Lady Colonels, but came back with a goal of its own.

"We gave up an early goal again, but recovered well to tie it up on an excellently executed goal," Kirk said.

"From then on, it was a tough midfield battle, with both defenses playing strong."

The tie was Bourbon's second in the past four games. Clark took a four-game winning streak into the contest and tied for the second time this season.

"Overall, I was pleased again with the progress we are making," Kirk said.
