James Herman Morrow, 85

James Herman Morrow, 85, of Main Street, Eubank, died Tuesday, Sept. 16 at his residence.

A native of Mintonville, he was born Oct. 17, 1922 to the late Charlie and Goetha Dalton Morrow. He was a farmer, retired local service station operator, member of Eubank Baptist Church where he was a former deacon, and a World War II Army veteran, serving in the European theater of operations and was involved in the invasion on Normandy Beach.

Survivors his wife, Virgie Tucker Morrow of Eubank; two daughters, Charlotte Morrow Boyd of Richmond and Brenda Morrow (Lewis) Wesley of West Palm Beach, Fla.; one sister, Artene New of Monticello; four grandchildren, Dr. Belinda Wesley (Mike) Selli of Gainesville, Fla., Brian (DeNae) Boyd of Danville, James Dale (Melissa) Wesley of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Randy (Leighanna) Boyd of Stanford; seven great grandchildren, Hayden and Jarett Boyd of Danville, Morgan and Justin Wesley of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Matthew, Thomas and Alexander Selli of Gainesville, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jerry Boyd; three brothers, Hayden, Hobert, and Lee Morrow; and three sisters, Mallie Hammond, Mollie Morrow, and Flora Morrow.

Funeral services were Sept. 21 at Morris and Hislope Funeral Home with Rev. J.S. New officiating. Burial was in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
