Lincoln grand jury indicts five

STANFORD - A Lincoln County grand jury indicted five people last week. They are listed below by name, age, address and charge. Bond information and grand jury witnesses also are listed.

* Christina McCune, 31, 110 Cotton Ave., Stanford, theft of more than $300 for allegedly taking merchandise from Wal-Mart on Aug. 31. Bond was set at $5,000. Trooper Paul Blanton testified before the grand jury.

* Jock E. Black, 22, and Heather E. Thomas, 18, both of 118 Circle Drive, Danville, burglary and theft of more than $300 for allegedly breaking into Richard D. Smith's residence and taking his property. Bond was set at $50,000. Trooper Rodney Wren testified.

* Joe Preston, 26, 308 Stanford St., Crab Orchard, third-degree rape for allegedly having sex with a female less than 16 years old on June 9. Bond was set at $25,000. Trooper Eric Taylor testified.

* Michael O. Hampton, 2010 Ellison-Pulaski Road, Waynesburg, possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia, trafficking in marijuana and being a persistent felony offender on April 18. Bond was set $25,000. Lincoln Deputy Chad Smith testified.
