Frances Goad Cartmill, 87, of Stanford, formerly of Horse Cave, died Friday, Oct. 3 at Rosewood Health Care Center in Bowling Green.
A native of Barren County, she was born Jan. 19, 1921 to the late Edwin Bert and Elta May Harlow Goad. She was a former certified health care worker, member of Cave Springs Baptist Church, and widow of Sam Cartmill.
Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn (Bob) Myatt of Bowling Green; four sons, Paul David (Vivian) Cartmill of Woodburn, Michael Alan (Jean) Cartmill of Stanford, William Lee "Bill" (Sandra) Cartmill of Magnolia, and Charles Edward (Sharon) Cartmill of Summer Shade; two sisters, June (J.V.) Ross and Lola (Carl) Doyle both of Mt. Washington; 12 grandchildren; six step grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; nine step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Oct. 6 at Brooks Funeral Home in Munfordville with Rev. Gordon Chaney officiating. Burial was in Horse Cave Cemetery.
