Senior Kelsey Joslyn ended her Boyle County golf career with the best finish by any Boyle girl ever in the state tournament.
Joslyn had rounds of 82-84 to finish 23rd in the state championship at Bowling Green Country Club in Bowling Green.
The tourney was originally scheduled to end Wednesday but was not completed until Thursday because of weather delays on Tuesday and Wednesday.
"It was a long three days, but she played well," said her father, Dale Joslyn, said.
Boyle athletics director Jim Spears says a search of school records show Joslyn is the first Boyle girl to even qualify to play the second 18-hole round at the state tourney.
"We're really proud of what she did," Spears said.
Glasgow's girls won the state championship over defending champion West Jessamine. Freshman Emma Talley of Caldwell County won the individual title with a 65-69 for a 10-under par total. Her 65 and total 36-hole score were both state records. She won by nine shots over eighth-grader Lydia Gumm of North Hardin.
