A list of participatory sporting events in and around the area:

BASEBALL

Tuesdays - Wilderness Trace family YMCA T-ball at the YMCA in Harrodsburg. Play 5:30-6:30 p.m. for ages 3-4. Call (859) 734-9622, (859) 236-0359 or (859) 734-9622.

CORNHOLE

Nov. 1 - Lady Lions Cornhole Tournament. Play begins at 5 p.m. at the SportZone in Lancaster. Fees $40 for two-person team. Call Bobbie Speake at 339-9335.

CYCLING

Sundays, Wednesdays - Semi-weekly casual rides beginning in Danville. Rides begin 7:30 a.m. Sundays and 6 p.m. Wednesdays at Danville Bike and Footwear, 417 W. Main St. Helmets required. Riders under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Call Ernst Crown-Weber at (859) 238-7669.

RUNNING

Saturday - Fox & Hound Race at Forkland. 2.4-mile cross country race begins 8 a.m. at Forkland Community Center. Fee $12, includes breakfast. Call Jordan Ellis at (859) 368-0242.

Sunday - Jackson Run in Boyle County. 5-kilometer and 4.5-mile races begin 4 p.m. at Elmer Jackson's residence, 205 Chrisman Lane. Free.

SOFTBALL

Nov. 1 - Garrard County Lady Lions fastpitch softball clinic. 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the SportsZone in Lancaster. For ages 6-16. Fee is $35. Call Bobbie Speake at 339-9335.
