Nate Johnson's three over par paced the Colts as the boys' golf team took sixth place the boys state tournament in Bowling Green Saturday.
Johnson's effort earned him an eighth-place finish among the individual finishers. The sophomore shot par on the second day.
Fred Meyer was 11-over with a two-day total of 155. Matt Kyles shot 158 over the two days. Connor Haas shot 170 and Travis Rose shot 171.
Last year, the team missed the cut by five strokes, but this year beat the cut by 10.
