Jeanne Humble, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walker Humble, was crowned Miss Hula Bell Thursday night at the hula hoop contest held Thursday night in front of the Clark County Courthouse.
Bids for the city's new 18-inch water main between Winchester and the Kentucky River, via the reservoir pump station and filtering plant, will be opened Tuesday, Nov. 18. The distance is approximately one mile.
The home of Mrs. Floyd Osborne on Graves Avenue will be the scene Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. of the meeting of the Belle Bennett Circle of the First Methodist Church.
