Homecoming service at Allansville Baptist

Allansville Baptist Church, 1270 Red River Road, will hold its annual homecoming services Sunday at 11 a.m. There will be special music and Bro. Ray Coates, pastor, will be preaching. A potluck meal will follow the service.

Presbyterian Women's Harvest Festival Nov. 15

The Presbyterian Women's Harvest Festival will be Saturday, Nov. 15, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 130 Windridge Drive.

Baked goods and crafts will be sold. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for $6.

The menu will be vegetable soup, pimento cheese or olive nut sandwiches, gelled salad, brownies, coffee, lemonade or soft drinks.

Christmas craft sale at New Life Assembly

New Life Assembly of God Church, 2159 Iron Works Road, will hold a Christmas craft sale Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All proceeds will go to the Missions and Women's Ministry.

Women's Bible Study at First Baptist Church

Joe Ann Dove will facilitate renowned author Phillip Yancey's book "Prayer: Does it Change Anything?" each Monday through Nov. 10 from 1 to 3 p.m. Sessions will be at First Baptist Church, 32 E. Lexington Ave.

Bible study at the Generations Center

Pastor George Hardaway of Providence Missionary Baptist Church will lead a weekly Bible study at the Generations Center, 32 Meadow St., every Wednesday from 7 to 8 p.m. Classes are free and open to the public.

Multi-congregational meeting at Ruckerville

A multi-congregational meeting will be at Ruckerville Church of Christ on Sunday at 6 p.m. The speaker will be Ray Tincher. The public is invited to attend.

Friends and Family Day at Refuge Temple House

Refuge Temple House of God, 133 3rd St., will host a Friends and Family Day Saturday, Nov. 8, at 8 p.m. at the church.

The event will serve as a fundraiser for a new church and a multi-purpose building for community events and other outreach.

Holiday shop and gift basket bazaar

There will be a holiday shop and gift basket bazaar Saturday, Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at "First Fire" in the old Dawahare's building. Items range from $2 to $15, and all proceeds go to benefit the community and charities. Refreshments will be served.

Clark United Methodist to celebrate 138 years

Clark United Methodist Church will celebrate its 138th anniversary on Sunday, Nov. 9 at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. Joseph Obello of Duncan Chapel United Methodist Church of Jim Town.

Everyone is invited to attend.

The host pastor is Chrysanthia Carr-Seals.

Church of the Living God pastors' event

The Church of the Living God, 114 Franklin Ave., will be celebrating Pastor's Appreciation Day on Sunday, during the morning worship time.

The congregation will be honoring its pastors, the Rev. Tom and Lela Hall, during this time.

Sunday school is at 10 a.m., morning worship at 11 a.m., Sunday evening worship at 6 p.m.

Free community Thanksgiving

There will be a free community Thanksgiving celebration with dinner and singing at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22. It will be at the People Helping People building at 19 Wainscott Ave., and is sponsored by Christ Temple Church of 30 Oliver St.

Guest speaker at Free Will Baptist

Bro. Owen Sensabaugh of Portsmouth, Ky., will be the guest speaker at Winchester Free Will Baptist Church on Sunday.

Sunday school is at 10 a.m., followed by morning worship at 11:30.

The church is located at 419 N. Main St., and is pastored by Stan Alger.
