Eddy Wayne Hopkins, 55

Eddy Wayne Hopkins, 55, of Crab Orchard, died Thursday, Oct. 30 at his home.

A native of Stanford, he was born March 17, 1953 to Elby and Loretta (Naylor) Hopkins. He was an employee of Whirlpool for 24 years, a member of the Crab Orchard Church of Christ, and a Bluegrass musician being a member of Eddy Hopkins and Son Bluegrass group and also Blue Dawg, Kentucky New Grass.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Hopkins.

Other survivors include his wife, Suanne Phillippe Hopkins of Crab Orchard; a son, Adam (Jeana) Hopkins of Harrodsburg; a brother, Lester (Shelley) Hopkins of Crab Orchard; sisters, Sandy (Marshall) Scott and Chelsea Hopkins both of Crab Orchard; two grandchildren, Aubrey and John Mason; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services were Nov. 1 at McKnight Funeral Home in Crab Orchard with Bro. Mark Raulerson. Burial was in Crab Orchard Cemetery

Active pallbearers were Crissy McLaren, Missy Kemp, Jessica Fletcher, Clay Hopkins, Marshall Brown Scott, John Scott, Rachel, Matthew and Lucas Hopkins. Honorary pallbearers were Lester Fletcher, Jerry Petrey, Ronnie Sizemore, Ralph Baker, Larry Miller, Tony Rice, Jeff Cain and Greg Ives.
